1954 Acquired by Hiram Walker & Sons Ltd – now part of Allied Distillers
1959 Distillery rebuilt
1994 Mothballed
2004 Distillery re-furbished and restored
2015 Visitor centre opened


Scapa Distillery Comments
Scapa flow, the distillery’s location, was the final resting place for some of the German fleet scuttled there at the end of WWI.
The distillery has a Lomond still.
Was owned for a while by the owners of Glen Scotia distillery.
Misses out to Highland Park on being the most northerly distillery by ½ mile.
