Lagg Distillery History

2019	Isle of Arran Distillers set up their first distillery on the island at Lochranza in 1995. In 2017 they began building a new distillery on the south of the island to produce Lagg Single Malt Whisky. The first spirit was produced in March 2019.

Lagg Distillery Comments

The distillery aims to bring a contemporary style to traditional methods of producing peated whisky on Arran and plans to conduct investigations into the effects on the whisky flavour profile of peat sourced from different origins, of the distinctive phenols they produce and of the various types of cask used to mature the spirit.
