Bonnington Distillery History

2018

Bonnington Distillery Leith and the new home of Crabbie Single Malt Whisky filled its first cask in March 2020. The distillery project was delayed by almost a year, largely due to significant archaeological finds at the site including evidence of a previous distillery dating back to the 1700s, furnaces from a bronze foundry, a ’lost mansion’ named Bonnington House and even evidence of ‘The Siege of Leith’ from the sixteenth century.
