Merged with W. Grant & Co (Glenrothes) to create the Highland Distilleries Co Ltd.

Distillery expanded and a second pair of stills added.

Distillery reopens

Edrington Group took over and mothballed the distillery apart from a few weeks of production per year

Bunnahabhain means "Mouth of the river" in Gaelic.
Contributor to Famous Grouse and Black Bottle blended Scotch Whisky.
